The Snackster!

Who remembers this?

I love this small appliance! Yes, it is a throwback to the 80s, but such a great help for quick lunches!!!

They Created a Tree

The girls came up with the idea to create an outdoor Christmas tree using our bamboo poles
and their good 'ole Dad was ready to help.

Way to go!

Playing with little friends

Such precious times getting to play with little friends.

When I see that R. loves playing with little ones, I rejoice!

Through our years of being a parent to littles, we had the benefit of friends with children just a little older than ours who were ready and willing to play with our kids. Now, I see mine doing the same thing with the youngers in our church and I rejoice.

I praise the Lord for the many examples of Godly families who have gone before us and who continue to come along side us in this adventure of parenting!

My hope is that we can be such an encouragement to others as they are to us!

Little Hairdresser

Doing her brother's do! If this isn't patience on display by her brother, I don't know what is! :-)

"Carp"-e Diem

Last evening's spontaneous fishing trip turned out to be quite successful! "Carp"-e diem or should we say "seize the fish"?!?!

E, A, & R were so excited about their catches!

The bigger blessing to the whole evening is the good times with good friends!

We are grateful!

SUMMER: Swimming, jumping, swinging, & gaming

For the first time, in our entire homeschool career -- going on our tenth year -- we are taking five weeks off! I am doing this because I recognized the kids and I NEEDED a "sabbatical", if you will. I wanted us to take time to do some enrichment reading and projects...oh and take time to play!
