Milestones!

This month alone has marked some significant milestones in our children's lives.
E. really skinned his knee while riding his bicycle and he lost another tooth while brushing his teeth (it was a baby tooth...not due to decay! :-) ).
A. learned to ride her bike without the training wheels and is washing her hair during bathtime with no assistance from mom! YEAH!
S. is riding his bike with training wheels, and has learned to brake since he ran into a fence!
R. is sleeping in a big girl bed instead of a crib!
WOW! These little achievements really add up and remind me of how fast time is flying with these little people. I pray that I will not take these times for granted!
Today, was fun watching their imagination at work...A. is watching E. & S. on a "TV" they made! This is definitely not a B--B Tube! HA!

New Discoveries

The kids and I went to investigate fieldtrip opportunities around here. So far we have discovered the Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville and the Brownsville Children's Museum. I forgot my camera when we went to the zoo, but thankfully I remembered it when we went to the museum.
We had so much fun there. We practically had the whole place to ourselves that day. It sure was a great outlet for the kids!
Both of these places will be on our regular enrichment list! We will keep you posted of our new discoveries as we find them!

Back to the Books!

We are at it again! Back to the books since our big move. It sure is nice to be back in a little routine. The kids are doing great with the adjustment! What troopers!

I Can Do It!

R. is showing off her strength by pulling her siblings and a new neighborhood friend in the wagon! She sure is growing up. She may be 2, but she is hanging in there with the "big guys"! It sure is fun watching the four of them play together and grow together!

Cousins!

Wow! We sure are blessed by having great times with our cousins in NE! We are thankful! We love ya!

R. Is Two!!!

On March 6th R. turned 2! We had fun with family at one of our favorite pizza places! Yummy! A. was on cupcake duty and she selected the beautiful Spongebob Squarepants decor to celebrate her sister's big day. It was so fun! As you can see, Aunt J. and family gave her a cute stuffed R.!!! What a fun time!

A.'s Perspective

During a recent visit to western Nebraska to see cousins. A. took an interest in photography as the medium of choice to express her perspective on life. It sure was fun to see her take an interest in ordinary objects which were just sitting around the house.

Here is a little description of each one:

1. A chew bone for the cousins' dogs
2. A popper toy (or noise maker! You know what I mean!)
3. A Lego house (affectionately known as the "Poor Man's House", thanks, B. & S. for the name!)
4. A large stuffed dino
5. A lovely hockey stick

So, each one of these caught A.'s eye in such a way that she wanted to catch it in a photo. She hopes you enjoy them as much as she did taking them! There will be more of A.'s photos to come...stay tuned...
