What can you make with a
can of homestyle (not the grands or the flaky) biscuits (any brand); powdered sugar, an apple-corer, and a pan of hot oil?
DONUTS!
The young 'uns were wanting donuts the other day. So, A., S., & R. decided to chip in and help make some. This is such a fun and easy recipe for the kids to do. I let them take charge of cutting the wholes out of the center of the biscuits. I did the dangerous work of frying them up. It only takes about a minute on each side. They shook them up in a ziplock with a 3/4 cups of powdered sugar after they had cooled on the paper towel-lined cookie sheet.
Don't think about the calories or the sugar high that will follow...just enjoy! We did! :-)
