This week was a big week for the boys! Their first eye appointment led to this...
Don't they look great?!
They are in awe of how much clearer things look! :-)

Catching Up With Photos!

R. loves helping in the kitchen! Even at 3, she is a great help! :-)

Water Flavored Popsicles (aka, plain ice)! What a treat! :-)

Coloring those eggs! What fun!

Little Miss Crafty has a different purpose for this bandana!

The birdhouse it finished! They had fun decorating two sides each! Come visit so you can see it in person!

Now this is a treasure R. and S. found while their dad was diggin' a whole in the yard for a new tree...have ya ever seen a grub? Have you ever see such HUGE grub? This is a grub for a Rhino Beatle! Check it out! Whoa!

Sugar High!

What can you make with a can of homestyle (not the grands or the flaky) biscuits (any brand); powdered sugar, an apple-corer, and a pan of hot oil?

DONUTS!

The young 'uns were wanting donuts the other day. So, A., S., & R. decided to chip in and help make some. This is such a fun and easy recipe for the kids to do. I let them take charge of cutting the wholes out of the center of the biscuits. I did the dangerous work of frying them up. It only takes about a minute on each side. They shook them up in a ziplock with a 3/4 cups of powdered sugar after they had cooled on the paper towel-lined cookie sheet.

Don't think about the calories or the sugar high that will follow...just enjoy! We did! :-)

Travellin' Takes

On the Road Again!

We had such a blessed time on our road trip to see our family in South Carolina! Our travels lead us around the Gulf Coast through the swamps of Lousiana to the foothills of the Appalachians then back to the white beaches of Flordia and back to the Valley of TEXAS! BEEEEEAUTIFUL!

We saw snow in South Carolina (of all places!). White sands, sand dollars and war planes in Florida (Naval Aviation Station Museum---we highly recommend it!). We went through an underwater tunnel crossing Mobile Bay. We crossed a 17 mile bridge over Henderson Lake (aka Henderson Swamp--gators and all!)....this was most intriguing to me!! Cypress trees for miles...so mysterious.

We were so blessed by the scenery and by the fellowship the entire trip! Every mile was worth it!
